My boyfriend owns more backpacks than he knows what to do with, but surprisingly none of them really worked for his job. Most of his bags are tactical or hiking backpacks, and he needed something more practical for work that could safely hold his laptop along with paperwork and other essentials. While searching for something that actually met those needs, I came across this backpack by Waterfly, and it turned out to be exactly what he was missing.Right away you can tell this backpack is excellent quality and very well made. The material is thick and durable but still lightweight, which I really appreciate. It feels sturdy without being bulky or heavy. The amount of organization in this bag is honestly impressive. On the front there’s a small zippered pocket, then a larger zippered compartment behind it with a slip pocket and three pencil or pen slots. There’s also another larger zippered pocket on the upper front of the backpack, which is great for items you want quick access to. On the back there’s a hidden anti theft pocket that’s perfect for a phone, wallet, or other small valuables. The side pockets are a good size and securely hold both regular water bottles and insulated ones without feeling loose.Inside, the backpack is divided into two main compartments, and both are very spacious. The front interior compartment isn’t super wide, but it still holds a surprising amount. The back compartment is where this backpack really shines. The laptop pocket has some of the best padding I’ve ever seen in a backpack. It’s made with thick foam studs on both the front and back of the laptop sleeve, almost like an eggshell style padding but more solid, and it offers amazing protection. It easily fits his 15 inch laptop with room to spare, and I feel very confident that his laptop is protected even when the bag is full.Even when completely packed, this backpack is extremely comfortable to carry. The shoulder straps and back panel have thick, supportive padding, and even the top handle is padded, which is a nice detail you don’t always see. There’s also a trolley sleeve on the back, which makes traveling with it super convenient and effortless. The zippers all operate smoothly and feel durable, not flimsy or cheap.This really is an excellent all around backpack. It works perfectly for work, but it could easily be used for travel, school, or even as an everyday backpack. In my opinion, at the current $59.99 price (as of 2/4/26), it’s a good value and completely worth it for the quality, comfort, and organization you get. Overall, it’s a high quality, durable, lightweight, and comfortable backpack with tons of storage and thoughtful design. I’ve bought him plenty of things that never get used, and he actually uses this every single day, which says a lot. I would absolutely recommend it.

This is a great bag for travel because there are so many compartments! It fits a lot, is water proof, and will fit under a plane seat if you don’t overstuff it. I got the teal color but I wish there were more colors to choose from. I haven’t had any issue with the zipper but I think the key there is to be sure you don’t overstuff it. The price is a bit steep for a backpack in my opinion.

Got this for my son in law for college. He'd been dragging along an old backpack for years that was held together with tape and luck- this was an incredibly high quality replacement for that! Looks sharp, too, in addition to being the perfect form factor and material quality. Highly recommend this, all around!

I discovered the WATERFLY brand of bags last year when I was researching the best bags to take to Disney World. So the first one I ordered was a crossbody bag, but since then I’ve come to love this brand so much that I now own 3 different sizes!!The quality is outstanding, with durable material and multiple pockets for storage. It’s designed for comfort with padded straps and buckles to help balance the weight evenly. The color is bold and almost has a sheen to it. This particular backpack is so nice and well-made that I’ll not only be using it as a laptop back, but also a travel bag. I can see this bag lasting me many years without issues.The one thing I would note is that the laptop section doesn’t have very thick padding, but I don’t foresee that being an issue at all.After seeing how high-quality this bag is, I’m considering ordering this brand for my daughters’ school backpacks because they’re so hard on them and I think this brand would withstand the abuse!

This is a nice strong bookbag, I've been using it for work and it keeps everything together without issue. It's got strong fabric so far and is a good enough size to carry all my needs to and from the office. It's got a large main compartment and some nice little pockets for smaller things. It's comfortable to wear and doesn't feel awkward or small when putting on both straps. It's quite useful for daily needs and definitely good for the price.

This backpack seems to be very well made with a solid construction. The padding on the sides and bottom of the laptop section seems to work well in protecting the electronics. I think it is a good size and weight for most anyone. My college student thought this works well for him. The various pockets seem designed for student organization needs. We just got this, so I don't have long-term experience to say whether this will last, but at this point, I would recommend it.

I have been looking for a new travel backpack or what I like to call “go” bag as sometimes you need to just GO! And this has been a nice option. The color is beautiful and it’s well structured. My current or now past backpack was soft sided all around which has been great but as I get older I have found I want more structure.The pockets are quite nice having 2 large pockets of about equal size has proven nice. I can pack my tablets or computer in the back well padded section along with some clothes or other items. And then my toiletries in another with whatever items I need.The side pockets fit a giant water bottle and have extra loops to secure even the new stylish water bottles with straw that many have. I’ve packed this bag with all sorts of stuff and it’s super comfortable. Having a loop to put around a roller bag is a great feature as well.Lightweight but solid bag. Perfect for my purposes as a go bag or a school bag!

I’ve been using this backpack for a few weeks, and it’s mostly great. This backpack easily fits my laptop, books, and a water bottle, and the multiple pockets help keep everything organized.
